How To Make Your Own Dog Treats Using Fish Skins

Life is just about as expensive as it can be, so why not be a little more scrappy with your food items? If you already buy/catch fish, you can use the fish skin to make dog treats rather than throwing them out!

Please disregard if you eat the fish skin or don’t eat fish.

But for those who do, this will take about 20-30 minutes.

How-To

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400°
  2. Fillet the skin off the fish
    • Or just cook the fish with the skin and eat the meat off the skin
  3. Put a bit of oil on the fish skin and lay the skins flat on a cookie sheet
  4. Bake for 20-30 minutes, flip halfway through
  5. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days, they stay crisped up nice too!

This is super easy and is great for both you and your animals. Fish are full of Omega 3’s and a bunch of different vitamins.

The fish skins are just as full of nutrients and can be SO expensive to buy for your dog’s. So if you already have it at home, why not use it and save some money?
