We Are So Back Baby (Halfway)

The Fall 2025 Shits Not That Difficult hiatus is over! Well, Steph (me) is back. My other half (Hailey) will continue on a hiatus for a while.

This fall has flown by and genuinely don’t understand how it is already December.

Steph’s fall break

Hello all – I am back and ready to yap. This fall break was hugely needed. As an Engineer, I was studying for my PE exam in the summer and I was BURNT OUT. After I took it, I did a complete 360 and had a party season from the end of August-October – full of concerts, vacations, and friend time (general fun).

Also, I decided that even though I was tired, I NEEDED to stain/seal our decks and paint our garage. Granted, it looks SO much better now; however, I really don’t know if I needed to stay up until 3am on October 1st so I could “get all of this deck staining over with because I am traveling to Denver in 2 days.” Jury is still out on it.

All that to say – I also needed November off too because I was exhausted from all the fun.

However, I am back and feeling a lot of mental peace and excitement to get back into my hobbies. There really is something to be said about giving yourself a break when you need it! That is my SNTD advice to anyone willing to listen to me yap – take the break you have wanted (if you are able to) from anything that has been exhausting you. Being kind to yourself makes life way easier.

Hailey’s fall break

This is Steph, here to Steph-splain what Hailey has been up to because there is a decent chance Hailey will not be blogging for a bit.

Her and I have always been on a similar wavelength of crazy, adventurous, and brave. 3 years ago my partner and I bought a destitute house in Maine that we needed to put a lot of sweat equity into. Hailey saw all the long nights, exhaustion, delusion, and *fun* pay off for us, and she said “I’m going to do that too”. Like any insane freak would. That is why I love her. She is super brave and fantastic, but it also now means she is big time unavailable.

Unfortunately, her timeline is up in the air so we do not know when she will return. However, please feel free to comment on this post wishing her crazy ass good luck on this big amazing adventure.
