Blue Cheese Dip – The Perfect Chicken Wing Dip

How often do you go, “Wowie my chicken wing is in need of sauce, so I am going dip it into that stinky cheese sauce?” Well if that isn’t relatable, it will be after you make this blue cheese dip.

Blue cheese can be a polarizing cheese, and I used to fall on the anti-blue cheese category. It wasn’t until I tried a blue cheese ranch dip with some chicken tender, in which my life changed.

That is why this next homemade dressing/sauce/dip recipe has to be blue cheese dip. This recipe is a bit more fridge-item based than pantry based, but it is worth it. This recipe should take less than 1 minute.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 4oz Blue Cheese, crumbled
  • 1 Tbsp Buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Recipe
  1. Combine the creams (Mayo, sour cream, and buttermilk)
  2. Add in the blue cheese and the lemon. Season and taste!
  3. Voila!

Easy peezy.

Very recently, I have found out that I like chicken wings. It turns out, I am a dry rub person and not a fan of sauced wings. But I am a condiment person! So I like the sauce and I like the wings, but I don’t like my wings sauced.

Moral of the story: This blue cheese dip is the perfect sauce for my wings <3

Sammy and I have recently started smoking meat on our charcoal grill, and making smoked chicken wings with blue cheese dip is the perfect summer meal.
