Homemade Thousand Island Dressing – 5 Minute Recipe

Recipe #2 in the Steph’s homemade dressing series!!! Yay. This thousand island dressing is so much better than store bought and it isn’t full of bad ingredients.

Similarly to the Caesar dressing recipe, this recipe only takes about 5 minutes to collect ingredients and mix them. Also, this is mostly pantry items, so hopefully you have all of these items on hand when you need to make it.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp Relish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 cup onion, diced finely
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe
  1. Dice the onions finely
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste

Easy peezy.

This recipe pairs perfectly with my Turkey Reuben recipe I shared after Thanksgiving. But watch out, this March I will be sharing my Pastrami Reuben recipe. Keep your eyes out, it will taste fantastic then and now.

Fun fact: every year we celebrate “St. Bear’s Day” instead of “St. Patrick’s Day”. Our dog, Bear, was born on St. Patrick’s Day, so we eat Reubens, carrot cake, and drink Irish Car bombs every year on the day to celebrate her birthday with her most successful and powerful confidants.
